Mariano Frisoli (1981) Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I’m an argentine/brazilian photojournalist and videographer working as a freelancer since 2010. While working as a commercial photographer I’ve been producing photo stories and video documenting the life of individuals and communities.
My first long-term project was about “Candombe” , the most important musical expression of Uruguayan culture. My next project was “Andrea”, an essay about the intimacy of a transgender and their family. The story was selected by Cronicas Visuales Editorial, who published the story in the book “7”.
After those projects I got involved with Manos Misioneras, a non-profit organization who was working with communities of Misiones, Argentina. Where I approached the hard life and struggle of the tobacco growers in the area.
In 2019 I moved to the United States, living in New York and currently in New Mexico while still documenting people and their environment.
